Before First Interview
Running an interview is stressful enough without technical hiccups. To ensure our Interview Intelligence platform captures, transcribes, and analyses your conversation correctly, please go through this quick Pre-flight Checklist at least 10 minutes before your call.
1. Browser Requirements
Our platform is optimised for modern browsers to ensure real-time processing.
Recommended: Google Chrome (latest version).
Supported: Microsoft Edge
Avoid: Safari or Firefox (these may have strict privacy blocks that interfere with recording).
Pro Tip: Disable heavy ad-blockers or privacy extensions for the duration of the interview, as they can sometimes block the recording bot.
2. Permissions (The "Lock" Icon)
For the platform to see and hear the interview, your browser needs explicit permission.
Microphone & Camera: When you first open the platform, click "Allow" on the browser pop-up.
Screen Recording (Mac Users): If you are on macOS, you may need to grant "Screen Recording" permission in your System Settings (System Settings > Privacy & Security > Screen Recording).
Double Check: Look for the small Lock icon đŸ”’ in the left corner of your address bar. Click it to ensure the Microphone and Camera are set to "Allowed."
3. Video Conferencing (VC) Setup
Whether you use Zoom, Google Meet, or MS Teams, the setup is similar.
Admit the Cara: Our platform joins the meeting as a participant (Cara). Ensure you admit them from the waiting room immediately so the recording starts on time.
Audio Output: Wear headphones if possible. This prevents echo and ensures the transcription engine can clearly distinguish between speakers.
Do not mute the bot: Ensure the "Cara" participant is not muted in the meeting controls.
4. Consent for recording and transcription
The interviewer must clearly inform the candidate: Interview will be recorded and that all spoken content will be transcribed, and obtain the candidate’s explicit consent before starting the recording.
