This guide explains how to run your first structured interview using Interview Intelligence. It follows the full workflow shown in the product walkthrough, from creating a role to capturing interview feedback. By the end of this process, you will be able to:
-
Create a role
-
Generate an interview plan
-
Review and adjust interview content
-
Assign interviewers
-
Run the interview using the plan
-
Capture structured feedback
Step 1: Create a role
Every interview starts with a role. The role defines what the interview is assessing and what the AI uses to generate the interview plan.
A role includes:
-
role title
-
role description
-
required skills and competencies
Create the role before scheduling or running an interview.
Step 2: Generate the interview plan
Once the role is created, an interview plan is generated automatically.
The interview plan includes:
-
interview stages
-
questions for each stage
-
evaluation criteria
-
scoring guidance
The plan is ready to use immediately but should be reviewed before the interview.
Step 3: Review and customise the plan
Before the interview, review the generated plan to ensure it fits your hiring needs.
You can:
-
edit or reword questions
-
adjust evaluation criteria and scoring
-
remove or add questions if needed
This helps ensure interviews are consistent, relevant, and fair.
Step 4: Assign interviewers
Interviewers are assigned at the interview stage level.
For each stage:
-
assign one or more interviewers
-
ensure interviewers are aligned to the right topics
Assigned interviewers will only see the stages they are responsible for.
Step 5: Use the plan during the interview
The interview plan can be used in two ways:
-
during a Microsoft Teams call
-
outside a live call
Using the plan in a Teams call
During a live Teams interview, interviewers can:
-
follow the interview agenda
-
view questions and criteria in real time
-
capture notes and scores
-
confirm candidate consent for recording
-
invite the recording bot when required
The plan stays visible throughout the interview to support structured delivery.
Step 6: Capture feedback and complete the interview
Interview feedback can be captured:
-
during the interview
-
immediately after the interview
-
asynchronously, outside the call
Interviewers can:
-
add notes per question
-
score candidate responses
-
complete their assigned interview stages
All feedback is stored centrally and aligned to the interview plan.
