How Interview Plans Are Generated

This article explains how interview plans are generated and how you can regenerate or adjust them.

What is an interview plan?

An interview plan is a structured interview framework created for a specific role.

It includes:

  • Interview stages

  • Interview questions

  • Evaluation criteria

  • Scoring guidance

Interview plans help ensure interviews are consistent, structured, and fair.

How interview plans are generated

Interview plans are generated automatically using AI when a role is created.

The AI uses:

  • Role title

  • Role description

  • Required skills and competencies

  • Structured interview best practices

Based on this information, the AI creates a role-specific interview plan.

When an interview plan is created

An interview plan is generated:

  • Immediately after a role is created

  • When a new interview is started using an existing role

The plan is available to review and edit before the interview.

Regenerate an interview plan

You may want to regenerate an interview plan if:

  • The role description has changed

  • The generated questions are not relevant

To regenerate a plan:

  1. Open the interview plan

  2. Select Regenerate plan

  3. Review the updated content

Note: Regenerating a plan replaces the existing plan.

Adjust a plan without regenerating

Instead of regenerating, you can manually update the plan by:

  • Editing questions

  • Adjusting evaluation criteria

  • Updating interviewer assignments
